Okay, I am new to modifying flashlights, and all I want to do is change the tailswitch boot and lens on a S2+.
I’ve got a wide array of tools to use, but I figure I would ask before I scratch up the interior for no reason.
I believe I need to rotate a retaining ring on both the head and tail. How do I actually rotate it? I’ve tried using a fine screwdriver, tweezers, a small spudger, and more. Is there a pin or screw I need to remove first?
Use snap ring pliers to remove retaining rings. The tail end has a left hand thread, so CW to loosen. The head side (pill) ret ring is a normal right hand thread. You don’t have to remove the ret ring on the head side, you can unscrew the entire pill with retaining ring pliers.
