I was at my local Frys Electronic store this morning and noticed they had 26650 cells with tabs. Has anyone had any experience with these cells? Price on these are $12.99. These do have tabs for pack building, can they be removed to be used in flashlights?

What mah on the batteries?
The 18650 were 2600mah. 26650 are 4000mah
i know my tenergy rcr123a lifepo4s were way better than these 1200mah china cells i have now. may or may not help. tabs can be removed, youd want to twist/pull the tabs off, then clean up the spot welds left with a dremel or something. from my take, tenergy dont over inflate ratings, or at least as bad as some others

My flat top 2600 tenergy’s are some of my best. My 2600 Xtars protection trips in my BTU Shocker so I use the Tenergy’s and they work great. I wonder if these are just as good. If that’s a TR-001 that’s the first charger I bought, and I still use it sometimes. A good deal really, great to run to the store and buy.
i bought my tenergy 18650s there, and so far they have worked pretty well. i nearly got the lifepo4s though but ended the 18650s
