I was able to get my M1 directly from Acebeam for $240 shipped with discount codes. Skylumen has excellent prices on the (stock) M1 including mod options for the LED triple section of the light with your choice of emitters if you wish.
Ive had mine for 2 months now and absolutely love it. Theres a great video review on YouTube by Cheule lights.
The price of admission is not cheap but the quality and performance are superlative for a compact dual purpose light, worth the money IMHO once you hold it in your hands.
Also, this just in…
ATTENTION ALL ACEBEAM M1 TERMINATOR OWNERS:
3D printed single (LEP) and dual (LEP+LED) lens covers (GITD available) are offered for sale on Etsy by Reddit user u/ Star Bandit at the links below:
Thanks for that lens cover link! I found a pouch that fits ok, so don’t really need it, but the glow will make it easy to find when camping.
I’m super happy with the light. To be my perfect light, it would have about 15% more throw for the triple LED, but I don’t really care. Would be nice if it had UV/red secondary lights, too. But it’s a whole lot of flashlight in a very small package.
Very happy to help! That lens cover link was a gem of a find on Reddit yesterday. Such a great gesture from an M1 owner who 3d printed it for themselves out of need and decided to let anyone interested have one too for a few bucks. Very much the benchmark of enthusiast goodwill.
If you really want to upgrade the LED section, Vinh at Skylumen.com specializes in exceptional quality mods for your existing light. For best throw, Id strongly recommend the Osram W2 for around $40. For the same price you could choose the high CRI Nichia 519A at 5000K, 4000K, 3500K, and 2700K with or without dedome.
Also available are GITD triple glow gaskets for the LED section in a variety of colors. Finally, he sells stock M1 Terminators with the 5000K Nichia 519A for $244 ($290 is the full Acebeam price, $244 is same as ACE15 discount code).
If you haven’t had a chance, you simply must visit Skylumen.com and peruse his huge offering of enthusiast modded lights. Vinh has been one of the longest standing modders in the biz (20+ years) with a sterling reputation for quality and a heck of a nice fellow. Ive been a repeat customer for years.
For me the only piece of the M1 puzzle left to solve is a really nice holster solution. I welcome suggestions from anyone.
For anyone that is considering the M1 but holding back because of the price: the M1 is a really great performer with exceptional build quality that is genuinely worth its cost for the smiles it generates when you use it.
Heres the link to the M1 Terminator options on Skylumen:
Very familiar w/ VinH I don’t think I’d give up the current tint for more throw. I just wish the optics were a bit tighter. Really just nitpicking. I have dozens of enthusiast lights and they’re now obsolete to me…I’ll just carry this in my pocket or hip pouch.
Unfortunately it wont let me paste the direct Amazon link to it but the M1 carry solution of your dreams is a very high quality universal cell phone holder case by Beltron with an integrated metal belt clip and magnetic top closure flap. It fits like a glove. You will be so happy!
Get on the Amazon site and search for:
Beltron Vertical Leather Pouch for Kyocera DuraXE and DuraXV cell phones
It’s quality black cowhide leather with a soft felt interior lining to protect against scratches. Even a spandex loop on the side to carry a backup AA mini flashlight or spare battery. Ive had mine for over a year and absolutely swear by it.
A phenomenal coincidence that an obscure Kyocera cell phone holder is like a bespoke ideal carry solution. Its also ideal for carrying a pair of Hanklights, like i use twin D4Ks, one with W2s and one with 219B SW45K. The magnetic closing top flap is such icing on the cake, as is the elastic loop on the side that can carry a spare cell if need be.
