Test/Review of Charger GyrFalcon All-88 (Enova)

Thanks for the review HKJ!

Sounds like a very flexible charger, one that could meet the ordinary needs of most users with a few (minor) issues.

And I’d feel a lot more comfortable with the results from a random pick of the regular production. I guess I just don’t trust manufacturers to “not fiddle around with” their production models. But I guess that it is a good thing … to be given the opportunity to review a product in advance, isn’t it?

P.S. I also appreciate the participation in this discussion by the manufacturer’s representative (enova18650.com).

Hi everyone, fighting is not necessary or even permitted here. Please drop the subject if somebody is getting hot under the collar. Thanks.

For me…I need a gang charger with an LED screen so depending on my following question….

HKJ - Will the included power supply support 8x1A?

The included power supply can deliver 4A and only 3.5A is needed for 8x1A, i.e. it supports running all slots at 1A.

Thank you!

Thanks FlashPilot for your criticism; Thanks gauss163 and HKJ for your professional opinion; And thanks 1dash1 for your sincere comments. Because the user’s comments are very important for us,It can help us to develop products more effectively. So I have great respect for your opinions, suggestions and criticisms.

Hello BLF members,
Does anybody could help us to make some smaller language reviews?
Such as French, German, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, Portuguese, Italian and so on.
Either you can make a video or write a soft-text.
And then sent them on better-known websites or forums that is related to the flashlights or electronic cigarettes.
If someone will help us, please send me a private letter.
My email address is info@igyrfalcon.com
Thanks.

HKJ: Thanks for the review. Great as always. Flashlightpilot: What particular xtar inexpensive chargers are you referring to?

I’ve distributed around 600 of the cheap DX 2 station chargers and recently swapped to the 2 station Meritline chargers for their superior build quality and slightly higher termination voltage (4.24V) for 4.30V cells. Ive also sold literally hundreds of xstar chargers (all non USB) with external PSU, as well as dozens of the large 4 station 4 amp soshine brand with eternal PSU. Except for the odd ball (perhaps 1 in 20), they all terminate at the same voltage (+/- .005V). The DMM reads the same down to x.xx VDC across charging stations of the same charger. You can rummage HKJ’s excellent extensive charger review database and find many that accomplish this level of consistency and accuracy.

Others rely on my lights in mission critical/dangerous environments, so I thoroughly test each cell, charger and light before sending them on… usually 2 or 3 complete charge/discharge cycles.

Hope that helps…

I posted the All-88 reviews and manufacture’s website over on the Game Camera forums I frequent. This charger should interest many of the folks there in order to keep up with all the batteries required for the many Game Cameras in the field.

The ability to charge NiMH and 18650 Li-ion cells at 1 amp and simultaneously if needed was all the info I needed. I’ll be placing my order when I get home from Florida in march.

Way to to go Enova!!
