enesense 9V 200mA (White)







Official specifications:

  • Typical capcity: 200mA

  • Minimum capacity: 194mA

  • Nominal voltage: 8.4V

  • Low self discharge: 70% after 5 years




This is a lsd rated 7 cell 9V NiMH battery.












This battery needed a cycle to get started, after that the curves looks fairly good and the rated capacity matches with the actual capacity.











Conclusion

The capacity and discharge curves looks fairly standard for 9V NiMH, i.e. no penalty for lsd capabilities.
It looks like a fairly good battery.

Another decent 6S Ni-MH, thanks for another testing effort.

Too low voltage, imho, versus standard 6LR61/6F22s.

By the way, just out of curiosity did a quick google search for 9V LiFePO4 PP3s and ta-da! Seems some are being produced. Example: Soshine 9V LiFePO4 Rechargeable Battery: 320mAh 9.6V

Any tests available somewhere for such class of PP3 packs? Chargers? Well, not that it would be any difficult to charge those cells from a standard 12V SMPS plus an inexpensive CC/CV buck module, of course. :D

Voltage is higher than alkaline 9V most of the time.

I plan on testing them.

Well, just remembered, this is the Ni-MH I have lying around somewhere:

And, well, just realized the true reason behind my voltage mania: the combination of a lesser capacity plus (and chiefly) the self-discharge phenomena, a no-go for all of the applications I could use it for.

Looks good for LiFePO4, ultra-low self discharge.
