Test/Review of Ikea AA

Ikea AA

Official specifications:

  • 1.5 Volt Alkaline Batteries

Ikea sells a lot of stuff including batteries, here I test their Alkaline AA.

As usual for alkaline the capacity is very depend on load.

Conclusion

Ikea do not publish any specifications for their batteries, but the performance looks to be good, but cannot match the premium cells on the market.

How is the test done and how to read the charts
Compare to other AA/AAA batteries: Alkaline/NiMH/Lithium

Great for clocks I think! Especially if they are cheap.

didn’t ikea stop selling these a couple of years ago? or was that only in Sweden?
nowadays you can only buy rechargeable AA/AAA-batteries at least here in Sweden

That must only be in Sweden, I bought them a few months ago in Ikea Denmark.

Right, you can find it in Italy too

Still being sold here.

10 for 2€ AA
10 for 2.50€ AAA

Regular prices for brands like duracell are a lot higher.
So good to see for the price they perform decent.
