This battery performs like the Panasonic 3400mAh cell with added protection.

The cell used can be discharged down to 2.5 volt, in my test I only discharges to 2.8 volt, i.e. I do not measure the full capacity. But then, not all lights will be able to use the full capacity.

After shipping the samples to me, some print was added to the box.

The discharge curves has good tracking, but the protection in this battery has a rather low current limit, it prevented doing a 3A discharge test.


With the exception of the low current limit this cell has good performance.

I will stick to generic Protected ncr18650b. Great resilient wrapper, original Panasonic, everybody has them. Wallbuys 13.80$ per pair.

Same with Eneloop, they've become inexpensive (ebay). Why would i bother buying something else.

The protection test graph seems a little wonky. I think it should start at 0.0A and should be scaled to a maximum of 3.0A to accurately show the data.

That would have been better for this cell, but I have kept same format as for all other 18650 batteries (All chart are made from the same scipt).

Thanks for your reviews. I’m interested for battery voltage versus current chart. Do you have this data. I may have missed it. Looking for good batteries that doesn’t sag too much at high current. :beer:
