It’s still available… I don’t need it. Look like it’s a good deal. Mt03 upgraded version 12000 lumen light cost $121 already…

And I just had my friend tried it, it went through… $120 with driver. but dumb ass used my laptop and forgot to logout so it was billed in my paypal lmao. I guess it’s coming to my house instead of his lol. I’ll have him pay me back later…

Read the description that light does not have a driver... There are 2 separate listings for the MT09R 70.2 the one you just posted is without the driver.

Ok, this is just a quick and dirty test of the Orbtronic 18650 30A 3120mah Cells that I was sent by O26Rcr for testing. Thanks for the cells! I know they are rewraps, just no idea what cells are underneath. I am guessing VTC6 based on the numbers.

But the VTC6 is rated at 15A. Rating it at 30A is kind of too misleading.

Agreed the ratings are misleading. I was just saying that the performance looks like a VTC6 cell under the warper.

Drivers will need to be ordered from TA or I can ship the purchase to TA for anyone ordering and you can have him install the driver.

Having him do the install also keeps your warranty.

So I just got my Texas_Ace modded MT09R in my hands and this thing is INCREDIBLE Somehow the post office delivered it on Sunday of all things. Looking it over, the light is beautiful. You can tell right off the bat that this is a very high quality light. Put some half drained Q30’s in just to check it out. The blue light under the button is really nice, and the narsil UI is perfect as usual. I went with the 50% ramp up and I’m glad I did. The 50% is impressive even sitting in my garage with the garage door open. I didn’t realize it came with a lanyard style attachment and a paracord braided handle. Not sure if this is from Haikelite or Texas Ace, but it’s definitely a nice accessory.

But the most fun is lighting stuff on fire :smiling_imp: The light comes with some brown packing paper (like a grocery bag). 2 seconds on turbo and it starts to smoke, 10 seconds and it’s on fire! NUTS! que evil laugh I’ve seen the videos of people doing the same, but until you try it yourself, it just isn’t the same!

Got the last one I have on hand that is ready for work finished, this one is for FindThisHumerus.

He has a blue MT09R that he wanted 5000k N4 LED’s, Dedome, Spring bypasses, TA driver with 100% ramp and tailcap washer.

Final numbers are 17k lumens on the same batteries I tested the last light with, so should be a little higher with fresh cells.

How’s the beam and tint on the dedome? How about throw vs domed emitters?

The 5700k tint shifts to the green hue, it works good and some people don’t mind it but it is not for me. It works fine though and not nearly as bad as past dedomes with gas.

The 5000k gets a bit warmer and tint shifts towards yellow and ever so slightly green. It is acceptable although not my personal preference. But is it not as bright due to being a lower bin.

The 4000k gets quite a bit warmer and moves towards yellow but otherwise looks good. If I personally was to dedome a light it would be the 4000k but I like the warmer tints.

In my personal lights I rarely dedome LED’s, I generally find that the dome on versions are good enough.

Dedome shift the tint quality. It doesnt matter xhp70 or 70.2. No dedome 70.2 for me. Lol.

@Texas Ace, sorry to bother you, but what kind of springs is the MT09R using?

In fact, what kind of springs are many of these 100W+ lights using? Phosphor bronze springs or is another kind of copper alloy used? Because if steel spring are used, they have significant resistance, limiting the potential of FET lights without bypass quite a bit.

I have no idea what springs are in these lights, I have no idea where to buy them.

I am pretty sure these are just steel springs with some form of coating. They are pretty strong though and seem to be able to handle about ~10A.

Generally for a 100W light that is not 12V, you will need to bypass the springs. or use double springs. A single spring is only good for around ~10A max, with most less then that.

Yes, these lights do gain quite a bit with the bypasses, that is why all but 2 or 3 of them had the bypasses done.

I have no clue how that is showing but I can promise you that no light with a driver will be sold at that price.

If you would like it shipped to TA for a driver I will be happy to ship it to TA or you can order one from him and install it... They are pretty easy to install..

The 70.2 with the driver installed is a totally separate listing that was only added a few hours ago. It and will sell for no less than $150.00. I installed the spring and did the bypass myself. It is a 20k lumen light but the one ordered is without a driver.

If you go look on the website you will see it is not...

I have n o idea how that shows that from the screen shot. but there is a separate for the one including the driver.. Here are both.

If it does then that is a Go Daddy mistake... No way I can sell complete with the driver for 120.00 I know you guys may not believe it but I am making very little from these.

At 150.00 complete with the driver I make 20.00 after shipping...

I will be happy to ship it to TA or ship it to you if you would prefer to install the driver. I don't have another TA driver that I could even sell to you or anyone..

I have to order those one at a time just like everyone else.

I have tried 10 times now to get that same thing to show on a sale and it will not show up..

I can either ship it to TA or to the customer...

Or they can wait 72 hours while I transfer the money from my bank back to PayPal and refund it. Which by the way is also against the sites policy.

But if it was a mistake I will do that... But like I said it really will take up to 3 days for me to transfer the money from my banks account back to PayPal for the refund.

All of that will also cost me about 8.00

I’m just trying to help.
If you scroll down a little more you will see that the description says it does not come with a driver.

This means the title does not match the description. You should raise an eyebrow and say “Hmmm, which is correct? Maybe I should ask the seller to clarify before buying.”

I see this all the time on ebay and online stores in general. If there is any discrepancy you should always ask before assuming.

Usually a discrepancy is just due to an accident or error in translation, but sometimes a seller will word their ad in a certain way in order to try and deceive the buyer.

Terry seems to be a good guy, so I think his ad was just a mistake in the title that made it seem like the driver was included. I’m sure he will give you a refund if you ask for it.
