KK's are good for single use, they will not work in all lights due to the positive button sitting below the side of the battery, they need solder added to them or a spring for some light and series use, they do test high in mAh but a rate them low due to limited use with out modding them to work and my 3 being all over the place in mAh and IR, but all testEd over 4 ah.
I will buy some trustfire 26650's in the near future to test as I've been happy with my other trustfire 18650's batteries, but not the ones from DX to be honest, soJill see how I go.
Only recently did they manage to want to produce 1W 532nm green lasers. (true 1000mW or close to that on the LPM, not those 7000mW alibaba/aliexpress lasers).
Do read the safety FAQs first for those who are interested, and never point at any person even if he/she is 200 metres away as with a beam expander and measly 200mW it could be optically dangerous till 1km (ie blinding could occur...like pointing a XR-E aspheric at point blank). Never ever aim at aircrafts and vehicles.
Sort of. I use them to pop balloons at a distance/cloud spotting.....pretty childish i guess but it's nearly the same with flashlights. LOL! Others have more "uses" but i don't do those stuff. I think in the gun hobby, some people like to shoot soda cans/bottles as well etc...
Thanks Pok! Great find! Now who's gonna get one and review it? Seems a bit under-driven if the specs are correct. Wonder what size driver is in it. Head seems a bit small too.
I have just ordered this one, wondering to replace the head with other one I've got with a 38mm lens.
It is by far I think the cheapest 26650 available, I did not feel it could have room for a 26650 being a 3AAA-18650 light, but according to the comments on the DX one, it does accept 26650s.
I bought it at Manafont, for two reassons, I do not want to buy in DX anymore unless there is no other way, and it is $3 cheaper.
Here is the DX one: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/w-878-xml-t6-5-mode-700lm-white-led-zoom-convex-lens-flashlight-w-strap-1x18650-3xaaa-2x26650-117766
There's the M10 that is not a zooming light. I got the Shadow+ instead. It would be interesting to compare these two lights if someone has both of them.
Not only is it my daughters 15th birthday today, a phone call from home (l'm at work) has just come through. My most expensive light to date has just arrived. It is a JM05 using twin batteries. 3 hours and counting till I get home. Yes I'm excited.
This light looks severely under-driven at 1.2A, still with a light this small its probably better that way. Should get some great run time with the 26650 (unless the driver circuit is unusually inefficient. Thanks for the tip though!!
The CityCat (formerly CITCAT? why not..) would be an attractive if not for the ribbed tube. It kind of looks like a worm. I wish it were all straight with ribbed grooves cut into it like the Balder lights.
