The conversion kit should come with everything you need to convert it except the soldering iron and pet gorilla to open it.

You need to fill out the Google form for a ‘Conversion Kit’. It will contain everything you need.

When time to actually order comes, you will be contacted with instructions.

If I turn on the light on high/turbo will it automatically ramp down in response to heat or will I have to self monitor and turn it down/off myself?

Yes, it uses Narsil for the firmware just like the GT and Q8.

It has both Ramping and 12 mode groups to pick from.

It also includes thermal control that you can calibrate to whatever temperature you want.

BTW, I have a suggestion. If you really plan an even heavier, porkier, simply more robust version of the BLF GT, please keep more material around the lanyard holes on the head and on the tailcap. These flashlights will have to be carried on a shoulder strap, and a steel keyring could eventually cut through the aluminum if it is as thin as it is now.

I will keep that in mind, I imagine a change like that will be possible but far too early to know for sure.

If you fear this use a small loop of paracord instead of a steel keyring to fix the strap.

Thanks for the info on the castle. I read the background and its a fascinating story. It's for sale for 3.5 million euros. Can you imagine the heating bill LOL. Over 25.000 sq feet. That's roughly $140.00/sqft, Believe it or not, that is equal to the cost per square feet of modern day homes.
