It is a LED light with the charactaristics of an laser light. I think it has a fresnel lens.

Everything I can see indicates it to be an LEP. I haven't opened it up, so I could be surprised, but from what I can see, everything looks exactly the same as other shine through LEPs.

Sorry, not fresnel. Looks like TIR or convex. In the description stands white light emitter and it has the characteristics of an Laser and LED sectrum. I really want to know what it is.

Love it! But anything with their cool logo looks good. The zooming range looks very limited but it does add to the usefulness.
question about the new thor ant man, does 14500 perform better than AA?
I think it requires 14500. I don’t think it runs at all on AA.
I’m pretty sure that it does not work on a AA battery.

do you guys know, for the lumintop 14500 battery, since it has charging built into the battery itself, can the battery be charged using a regular charger like s4+?
Yes, it can be charged in a regular external charger.
I do that with the cell that came with my Lumintop Tool AA Ti, which I think is the same cell that comes with the Mini Ant Man.
