Reputed manufacturers chickening out because of retarded legal systems possibly wanting to blame 'em if cases of morons blowing up their asses with their batteries arise? Sorry but that won't stop people from dealing with their products, it can only make the situation worse (as usually happens with fear based reactions). 
Sorry but we also make the laws, and we should be made ourselves heard. Manufacturers should explicitly tell customers they won't be held liable of any crap with regards to the misuse of their products. Hell, you know a lot of jackass rewrappers use lower grade cells from the big ones and stamp outrageous spec figures on “their” products. Check this out for example:
If you are a dumbass you're the only liable one behind your dumbassness. So stop fighting and start loving and learning. There's no excuse.
