I want to know more about reflectors, lumen loss levels, what to look for for more throw or flood, how different emitters react to the same reflector, how does angles or depth affect the throw/flood or hotspot, do different materials affect loss of lumens, and anything else that there is to know
Let the discussions begin. I’ll sit back and be an interested spectator. The larger the reflector the smaller the hot spot. The smaller the led the smaller the hot spot. Reflectors like in the XinTD C8 work better than every C8 reflector I’ve seen with as a rule a larger brighter hotspot. Reflectors need to be tuned to the led they are being used with. Sometimes if you have rings in the beam and these cannot be tuned out by varying the distance the lens is from the led, the hole the led sits in can sometimes be enlarged to get rid of the rings.
