The smallests AA flashlights please...

Yes, but that flashlight is no longer manufactured, now there is another model almost identical but without ramping

I would still vote for the DQG, a bargain compared to NC/JB and its SS plus unlike others, it is a limited run. Get one now before its gone You'd still need an aftermarket clip tho, wonder if any of the Fenixes would fit.

OK Fran what are you gonna buy ?

we just went thru the best deals you'll see all year ..What did you buy as far as small AA..??

I think the eastward is a great light and I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have one .

kick start the economy .....with some paypal action

Oh sorry. I have not replied here to inform.

First, thanks to all who have replied and helped me.

Finally I will get the OEM NiteCore EZ AA from intl-outdoor, despite it has no clip. I can not afford a more expensive light.

Thanks guys!

Thanks this thread helped me pick out the OEM EZAA as well. Looks like a solid light.

It just shipped from Shenzen. Will post my impressions once it arrives. Hopefully before Xmas.

Nice to meet y'all!

Welcome to BLF, scojj

Welcome mate

I too ordered an EZAA clone. I wanted one years ago when they first came out but they were too pricey. $24 isnt too bad. Ordered mine on 12/1 from intl-outdoor, was expecting it to be here by now. Oh well...

Sure wish it was a neutral one, but I'm assuming they're all "cool" white.

Now I'm in the same situation as Fran  Small (not necessary the smallest one), 1xAA light needed. 3 (semi)budget lights comes to mind: ITP A2, Olight I2 or Nitecore EZAA OEM. All 3 can be bought for $20-25.

OK taking into account that itpA2 and olighti2 are practically the same, you only have 2 different options:

1- itp/olight

2- Oem nitecore

I received the nitecore. Imprehesive light. But, but, the Low mode is too low. No, sorry, the difference between lo and high is too much, I really whish it had a medium mode. So maybe the itp/olight should be better than the oem nitecore due to it has medium mode.

It´s your decision..........

fran82, how much time did it take to arrive to you?

Sorry for the miss-understanding

In comment number 43 https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/4801#comment-101165 I said that I will order the OEM nitecore, but in fact, I wanted to say that I did ordered the oem nitecore.

I paid it on 22th november and received it 4 days ago....

Hey, Fran, have you tried 14500 in it? That LOW should be brighter :) Can you confirm also if full turn is needed to switch from LO to HI? Thx ;)

(por cierto, es "impressive" y no "imprehesive" ;) )

Guys who want a clip for the nitecore ought to be able to figure this one out very easily ..it has a threaded tail...snag a decent clip off of a pen and put a bolt on top of it .. bingo ....clip action

the threads on the end give you multiple possabilities ...just think out of the box

2 foot gooseneck and bolt attached

magnet and bolt

2 lights one piece of all thread ..a twist me twist you light

First, sorry for my Spanglish... XP

Yes, I tried 14500... With 14500:

Low mode goes from 10-15 lumens to about 40-50 lumens (eye-estimated, of course)

High mode not much difference.... maybe 30 lumens more (eye estimated, of course)

( I prefer to use NiMh only, 130 lumens with just 1x AA Nimh is veeeeery good)

aaand yes, 1 full turn (more or less) to switch from lo to high. I whish it could be 1/4 turn to change modes.. but still is an incredible light.

My unit has ez900

I am impressed because it is the most powerfull 1xAA light that I have, real 130 lumens.... with just 1xNiMh. And the most important thing: REGULATED OUTPUT. I tried a 2500mAh BTone battery and it gave the same output for about 60 minutes...

WOW! I like it a lot. Pity has not medium mode...

mmmm thanks for that. I will "try" that when I have time and when I find the correct pen clip...

" 2 lights one piece of all thread ..a twist me twist you light ..."

You've got a twisted mind , Boaz .

I was also going to suggest the 14500 for a brighter low, but I agree that I prefer using NiMH since the high is just about as bright. To reduce the amount of twist required to hit high, I soldered a blob of solder to the back of the pill behind the spring. It was a little tricky, and you do need a pretty fine tip on your soldering iron, but it works well - only takes about 1/2 - 2/3 turn now, a big improvement.

I thought there was a mod which involved cutting down the foam .. ask match he did a mod to the one I sold him and he said it changed modes in a 1/4 turn? i think he said it was a commonly known mod from cpf so a search might be in order .

Yeah, 14500 only for better LOW :) Do you still have that A2 to compare?

PD: no, si tu spanglish esta muy bien, solo que vi que no es la primera vez que lo decias mal y por eso te lo dije ;)
