Just received mine today. The closest comparison in my collection was the Trustfire X8. The 7G9 is almost twice as bright, I was not expecting that.
Bear in mind this is using TFF batteries. I have the Panasonics in the mail so I am certain the output will improve overall.
That thrunite tn31 is a must have it throws just as good as the olight sr90 but with a smaller beam. If you look around you could get one between $175-200 dollars shipped.
Here is a pic that selfbuilt took compering the two lights:

TurboBB’s video shows a completely different picture.
Paper shows one thing… video shows another.
It does throw really well. Clearly the TN31 is a winner though.
I understand the TN31 is a winner, there is no debate there, but you seem to be missing my point. At half the cost of the TN31, you get a pretty good light that throws well for most purposes.
For sure, the TN31 is almost overkill. I have seen the 7G9 for well under one hundred dollars. That is a great deal. Looks nice. No point missing, I got it all.
I just recieved my crelant 7G9 i’m very disappointed. It has a nice tight beam but it’s way too dim it’s clearly not 1100 lumens. It won’t throw more then 200 meters. Anyway i well be returning it for a refund.
Either you have a defective model or you set your expectations too high. It was measured by TurboBB to emit i think 1011 lumens, and has lux readings of around 65k (measured by selfbuilt on his review).
But by the sounds of it not throwing 200 meters I’d say you have a defective model.
Selfbuild has lux reading of 55 and lumens reading of 850, go look again. But yeah i have high expectations on every light i buy. I already return 3 lights  : olight m3x, eagletac m3c4 and now crelant 7g9. They all can’t throw more then 200 meters.
even at 55 lux, it comes to a min throw of a generous 400 meters. I doubt your measurements are accurate to begin with for each light you have returned. My 7G9 clearly abolishes the 200 meter mark.
I do measurements using google earth dont know how accurate that is. when i tested out the light it was not pitch black. There was street lights around. Could i ask you, what 18650 do you have?
Well now your talking… at this rate your just gearing yourself up for a huge disappointment when your TN31 arrives. There are several batts out there that will drive flashlights to their max potential. I use XTAR batts and find they work really well. I alternate between protected and un-protected. I currently have Panasonics in the mail rated at 3000mAh at 3.7v
