Wurkkos now has three separate flashlights with semi-mule configurations. Each uses a different size replaceable battery and includes a LED with a reflector which is why I refer to them as Semi-Mule designs. All also include multiple LEDs without reflectors giving very wide flood beams. Two of them are dive lights, the DL08 and DL07. The third is the HD11 with a articulated head that can point straight ahead or at a right angle.
The first is the DL08 dive light, the most versatile of the three in my opinion. It offers a throw white beam and flood beams in white, red and UV. All have adjustable brightness in either stepped or ramped modes. 21700 battery powered with USB C charging. Note that the white flood LEDs are 90 CRI. A very interesting and versatile light in my opinion.
Second is the HD11 with articulated head for use as either a straight body flashlight or a right angle light. It uses a replaceable 18650 battery and again has USB C charging. Flood, throw or combined and red beams choices. The white beams intensities can be adjusted while the red beam is one intensity only, 6 lumens claimed. White default mode switches from throw to flood based on head orientation in relation to the body but either mode is available in either head position.
Lastly is the DL07 dive light. This is the least versatile of the three. Offers spot, flood or combined beams along with red and UV choices but outputs are selected via a magnetic ring selector and no intensity adjustments other than flood white beam low and high intensity choices are available. Flood beam is claimed 90+ CRI for photography illumination under water. Unusual as it uses a 26650 battery and does not include USB charging. A single slot external charger is included with the light.
All three of these lights include wide flood beams in the 135 degree range as well as narrower throw beams and all appear to be considerably less expensive than the pure Mule lights available from other sources.
