I built a triple using the inexpensive triple XP-G2 PCB from KD and a Qlite driver in a Convoy S3 body. (I’d suggest using a different host than the S3 as updated S3s have an integrated shelf instead of a removable pill. Go with an S2/S2+ or S6.) Using the KD non-DTP aluminum board seems to work fine in this non-FET triple. Each emitter is only driven at 1A, but the body still heats up quickly, and it’s an impressive output from such a small light. I actually prefer this triple over my FET XP-L HI triple.

I was at Lowe's a couple of days ago looking through the plumbing parts for a suitable piece to use for a spacer in my triple build. I'm using a Convoy S2 and the 20mm Nichia triple from KD for this project. After about 30 minutes of browsing, I located this "3/4 PEX test plug": it's a brass piece that looked suitable, only about $2, so I bought it. [image] On opening the package, I measured the plug and found some interesting dimensions: The OD of the head is... 20mm - Convenient The OD of …
Per Match’s chart here, the XP-G2 he tested is about 350 lumens at 1A, for a total of 1050, far short of your desired 2k lumens. Any higher than that and I’d suggest a Noctigon and a FET driver. At that point, you might as well go all out and run the XP-L HIs for maximum output.
