Thrunite Archer 2A C

The Thrunite Archer 2A C is an updated version of Thrunite’s original AA powered Archer 2A. The Archer 2A C features a cool white emitter, which is rated for 1000 lumens on high. The beam profile is very useful with a large hotspot and spill thanks to the smooth reflector. Overall it’s a nice beam profile for a light this slim. Unlike the original light which ran off of AA’s, the 2A C runs on a unique sized li-ion 141000 rated at 1600 mah. Included in the package is an 141000 battery, usb c cable, spare o-rings, lanyard, and the pocket clip.

The battery is very long and narrow and will not fit in an external charger. The battery has a built in type c charging port so the battery can be removed and plugged in to charge. The 2A C appears to be the same knurling pattern, switch, and pocket clip as the older model. The knurling has no flaws and the anodization is very smooth. The included pocket clips is not dual direction but it is securely attached to the light. There are two slots that the pocket clip can be oriented either up or down.

The UI is not the same as most current Thrunite models. The 2A C is a dual switch light with a side switch and tail switch. A single press of the tail switch turns the light onto the last memorized mode. Instead of holding the side switch to cycle modes, a single press will change the modes from moonlight, low, medium, and high. If you hold the side switch while on, it will activate strobe. A single click of the tail switch will turn the light off. There is no turbo with a double click. Low mode is rated for 20 lumens with a runtime of 37 hours. Medium mode is rated for 213 lumens for 5.5 hours. High mode is rated at 1018 lumens for 30 seconds until a step-down to 519 lumens for another 128 minutes.
