Hi guys,
I have a ThruNite NW TN30 has to be about 4 years old but only used for about 30 minutes.Spent most of its life in the metal box it came with under my desk.
I went to turn it on the other night and nothing. The 3 leds have a faint glow and that is all.
I am after someone in AU to fix it for me for their fee. Maybe you guys might have seen this fault before,
and be able to let me know if it is worth fixing or not.
Hmm im trying to think what this could be. Has the driver been modded at all? I have modified a few TN30s now but can’t remember any having had the symptoms you are describing.
Worst case scenario if you have no luck with someone fixing it and can’t get a replacement driver from thrunite (usually the case in my experience) you can modify the light to not use the magnetic control ring and instead install a piggybacked FET driver and modify the tail switch to act as a simple clicky.
