Thrunite TN36 Group Buy - Price Confirmed. Stock Confirmed

Got mine last week… took it out to play with Niwalker MM15… I’ll I can say is I was dissapointed with the output of TN36…maybe I was expecting too much?
I hardly doubt it mine was over 6000 lumens, because if Niwalker mm15 is rated 5000+ lumens and it was a lot brighter than the TN 36.
Hmm… maybe I should open the driver and see if I could do some resistor mod as in TN 30/31 series

One thing about my light that I noticed is that the eletronic switch acts finicky when it’s cold out. Doesn’t seem to double click into turbo real well. So I put the light in the fridge for awhile to see if that was really the case. Sure enough, cold light = finicky, warm light = flawless functioning. The cut off point seems to be around 55 degrees F. Anyone else have this experience?

mine arrived with the lanyard mount. I ordered CW but it was absolutely warm. actually the warmest tint light that I own and I own a lot. LOL.
mine has a max throw of 100 yards. yes big wall of light but it sad to say that my skyrayking 3 X xm-l2 throws much further and much better usable light.
maybe it is just my old eyes need CW light to see at night. I just expected more from a 6000lm light. my tk75 slaughters it. I do like the way it looks and I want a tn4a because it looks similar. BTW… I ordered it at the beginning of the group buy and it just arrived this Thursday.
I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING IN SOMEONES PHOTO. HIS BOX HAS A WHITE ROUND STICKER ON THE BOX. MINE HAD YELLOW. I BET THAT THE WHITE STICKER IS CW AND THE YELLOW IS WARM. I BET THAT IS WHY MINE IS SO WARM TINT. CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THAT THE STICKERS SHOW TINT???

I suspect you’re right, I ordered NW and had a yellow sticker. Love the NW tint big time

Mine has a white sticker on and I ordered CW.

However, to me the tint is not cool at all. At any setting I would describe the tint as warm.

I do not have a lanyard mount on mine.

I have a yellow sticker and I ordered warm. On a side note I really like the tint.

Mine neither has white sticker on CW nor a lanyard mount. And I agree with you the tint is not cool white as well. This light is not impressed to me at all! :cowboy_hat_face:

I took mine on a long walk, with outside temperature being around 0 degrees, -10-15 or so with windchill (fahrenheit), and when I first used it about 5 minutes in, the light functioned perfectly. About an hour later though, after it had gotten considerably colder from being in my jacket pocket, I couldn't get into turbo. The high was more than enough light, so not a problem, but I was surprised, figuring maybe it's the batteries that were run down.

When I got home, about half hour later of it being in room temperature, I was able to click into turbo easily. Checked the batteries just to be on the safe side, and they were all at 3.94v.

So... definitely something to consider, this light does not like the cold.

I think it may be due to the batteries. I remember I saw some discharge curve at 0°C to –20°C, where the battery voltage sag like crazy at 3A+. So maybe due to the cold and the high current draw of turbo, the light think it is low on battery and did not allow you to go to turbo.

Thanks Gennady for confirming a temperature problem. I thought I was going nuts at first!

The beam profile is different than other lights. The spill is way wide and bright for the TN36 and not much of a hot spot since the hot spot is so wide too. If your illuminating a wide area 50 yards out, the TN36 just plain beats the pants off my MM15 and my TM26 and TK75. But since the beam profiles are so different, it’s like comparing apples and oranges. However, my integrated bathroom gives me a figure of around 6,800 lumens for the TN36, and about 5,100 lumens for the MM15 at start-up.

I have a different aspect. I think the tn36 is only good for about 30 yards. I don’t own a tk75, but I would assume at 50 yards, the tk75 would have much more usuable light. I say this because even my modded srk which does only about 3500 lumens, seems brighter at 50 yards.

I’m not too thoroughly impressed with the tn36. I wish it had jus a bit more throw. I think even jus a dedomed mkr would satisfy me. But if that’s not gonna do much, then I may as swap them out for some xhp70’s for even more lumens then

I find myself enjoying the beam profile of my MM15vn with dedomed MTG2's much more. Granted the TN36 has more flood, but it's reach is terrible outside.

Just took a ~6 mile walk, it's around 5 degrees outside, around -8 with windchill. Same exact thing... started off just fine, but when I tried getting into turbo after about half an hour, I couldn't.

I don't think this is a current draw problem due to cold, but will test that theory out later in the week, by taking the mm15vn with me, which has the same kind of batteries inside it.

Now who will report this to thrunite, im still waiting on mine to arrive.

Please PM me price and availability. Prefer CW.
THANKS!

I want to see how the mm15vn will do in the cold... need to find the energy go do 10 miles tonight. If the mm15vn behaves the same way, it's the batteries, if not, I'll at least shoot thrunite an email, although they were jackwagons in how they handled a problem the last time I had an issue with one of their lights the archer 1a.

Please PM price for NW.

Could you pm me with prices please? I am interested on a NW.

I am unsure which white to go for at the moment.

I am in the EU.

Thanks
