Also the tail-cap is glued in leaving the battery entry by unscrewing the threads near the head end of the light.
Any ideas on putting a lanyard on the TN36 lights that were made earlier without the lanyard attachment point?
What a great little package this is.
I sent for it on Feb 4th and it arrived early this morning Feb 13th and I did not get caught up in the Chinese New Year holidays.
It is very bright on Turbo.
The Moonlight setting is very well done as is the User Interface.
The button presses to get to Moonlight and Turbo work well and leave the main three used settings away from Turbo and Moonlight.
Nice work Thrunite.
Now if only I could buy the newer tail-cap with the lanyard attachment point machined into the tail-cap and have it sent to me as I always use a wrist lanyard on stubby lights like the Skyray King etc everything would be just great for now.
I have got nearly the whole Thrunite torch range especially the TN series.
Hey Thrunite people is the tail-cap available separately?
My TN36 arrived today, charged up a set of Panasonic 3400’s ready to be blinded by the 6500 lumens, and … nothing. The light does not work at all. I guess it’s time to contact the seller and see how they handle warranty claims :weary: .
Thanks. With Group Buys the suppliers don’t like it known who they are or what the price they have offered is. Manufacturers like to keep prices set amongst sellers so knowing that Seller A is devaluing their product by X amount doesn’t look great for them.
I have no idea maybe you can send an email to the seller for this issue. Mine will return to them today as impossible to accept such high heat within minutes! I’m negotiating with the seller regarding the return postage as well as the tail-cap was not the same as Thrunite’s official website!
If you look at all of the reviews online the pictures do NOT show a lanyard point on the body. I don’t think this is a problem with the supplier.
As for heat 6500 lumens on a body the size of a coke can you’ve got to expect heat. All of the reviews mentioned a hell of a lot of heat too.
Going forwards can people please refer to the supplier as “the supplier” and not name them.
I’m not asking this to protect them from your complaints I’m asking to protect them from Thrunite.
This wall of light is Bad A$$! I’ll be taking this camping in two weeks. I bet this would also be a great light for cavers as well. Thanks Chris for the group buy!
A few quick thoughts after playing with the TN36 this evening. The fit and finish is excellent. My light has the lanyard attachment on the tailcap. The NW is the tint I hoped it would be. Just a 1/8 turn of battery tube locks it out. The large semi-aggressive knurling is perfect for the large diameter battery tube. The heat build up doesn’t seem any worse than the other coke can style lights I have (MM15, S6330, Richard’s M6). I like the UI and the level spacing. On turbo, this light puts out a boat load of lumens out to about 200/300 feet, it is the new definition of a wall of light! Hope you all get yours soon. Your gonna love it!
Huh, no lanyard attachment on mine. I don't use lanyards on most of my lights, so not really an issue. A tripod attachment point would have been great though.
