Nice and speedy indeed. I cannot wait although locally with all our power cuts I foresee loads of tail standing for the TN36. Also looking forward to testing out the moonlight mode…!
The anodizing has me somewhat concerned. Guess we’ll have to compare as we receive the units.
As of today I still have no tracking # provided!
Updated: My package will be delivered later day. I have no idea why I didn’t received tracking # from hkequipment before shipped!
I just received mine today in michigan. I wasnt expecting it at all because I never got a tracking number or anything. The light looks great so far, no flaws as far as I can see. Im waiting til it gets dark to test it out.
A true flashaholic doesn’t wait for darkness
all you lucky buggers getting yours before me.
I’ll let you in on something, I asked them to send mine before you lot as I set up the group buy…. they didnt
I received mine today but have no chance to have a try as not home yet!
Mine has apparently been delivered but I’m at work. I’ve got a job tonight involving a camera, tripod and the dark but it doesn’t involve any torches/flashlights tonight unfortunately. Lame!
No tracking # or light as of yet :(
Usually I don’t but I have never spent this much money on a single light before and I really wanted to be “wowed” this time. The light did not disappoint. The lower modes are kind of green (I got the cool white”) but turbo is pure white and crazy bright.
I didn’t receive my tracking # until I email hkequipment.
I also did not receive tracking # until this morning.
So I asked it to HKE, and they provide tracking # right away.
My TN36 was sent on 4th Feb. It is still processing delivery.
Ask HKE again.
No tracking # or light as of yet
Got mine today, in mint perfect condition. Turbo is extremely bright, still can’t believe turbo doesn’t require high drain cells…
Also received mine today out of the blue. Have to say I'm quite pleased with it, and it certainly met my expectations though did not exceed them.
The only thing I find annoying is that double click for turbo has to be extremely fast... which I'm not a fan of.
It does best a modded MM15vn dedome, though with a less pleasant tint, and a whole lot less throw.
May be something wrong on output mode with my unit.
Output mode: Turbo, High, Medium, Low and Moonlight
First day when I got the light, I’m using TrustFire Flame 18650 batteries to test it and able to get all the (5) modes.
Two days ago, I notice 1 mode - either High or Medium is missing. No matter how I press it (normal pressing), I only able to get two brightness. Low and (don’t know whether it is) Medium or High.
I can get Turbo and Moonlight.
I recharged the batteries but still the same.
Any idea?

Press and hold to cycle low medium high…failing that get some proper batteries, seriously, who buys an expensive light and puts cheap crap cells in it?
Excuse me while I go fill my Ferrari with E10 ethanol fuel…(not the race type lol…)

You are supposed not to use Trustfire 18650. Use high drain quality batteries are recommended.
I tested mine with ultrafire flames just to see what happens and as expected it’d hit turbo for a split second and trip the protection. My flames have good capacity so they’re useful for lower drain uses but they’re not up to the job of running the TN36.
I’m tempted to buy some panasonic 3400’s to use instead of my samsung 2700’s but I very much doubt i’d get any more lumens by doing so if the light is so well regulated so it seems like a waste of £30
Tried with 3400's and the PF's... no noticeable change in output that I could see with my eyes.
Based on CREE website, I think the light only pull about 4-4.5A from each battery so that should explain why the NCR18650B had not visible output difference compared to NCR18650PF. Since the NCR18650B max is around 4.7-4.8A
