Thanks a lot! When I’m using the reflector type, it can provide good spread and good distance. But when I point to the white wall, the difference between center and outer ring looks strange.
I strongly prefer TIR lenses, but it depends on your application and preference ![]()
I really like TIR lenses for flooding while maintaining good throw. But it’s also worth mentioning that there are many types of TIR lenses. So finding the right TIR lens for the LED your flashlight uses is a combination that can be excellent or almost unbeatable, or even both… However, if what you want is pure throw, I’m afraid nothing beats a good, well-sized reflector. Oh, now that I have a Trustfire MT16 with a Fresnel lens, I see that it’s also an excellent combination.
Yes, this is good combination in side light scenario to achieve a flooder.
