What a coincidence, same thing with me 
and I think it was same with CheapThrills too.
I think at least one person has managed to get the return shipping paid.
When I complained about my faulty TN31 they replied that I should return it and they would replace it. I sent sent them an e-mail saying I would be happy for them to replace it and that they should contact me with details of when the torch would be picked up and by which courier as I was not going to arrange this because the torch had arrived faulty. They replied saying they would send me the faulty part instead as this would be easier.
Negative, I’m making progress.
ONLY 7 mails done and I have already managed to get a go for Ship-Back, address where to ship and probably will have return covered also.
I must say though, that they first suggested to send it to “German warehouse, which should be up there in a couple of weeks…”. Now, does that sound suspicious or what?
I clearly expressed, that it sounds pretty suspicious or just time playing method, then got the shipping address to CN.
Honestly, at this point, I don’t care if it is 20EUR to DE or 25EUR to CN and I’m still pretty sure they will eat their words about covering return shipping.
I had the dirty reflector problem AND faulty mode change, which got only worse by topping up batteries to the max 4.20V.
Dag nabbit, I’m SO THRU with THRUNITES.
Even the T10 had emitter slightly off, lens O-ring a bit misplaced and flickery-flackery modes on 14500 but pretty stable on NiMh.
BTW:
I was first offered a replacement a couple of times.
I said No way, since there’s terribly good chance to get even a worse one back.
Glad i kept on waiting… i was almost about to click buy now… and then i decided to wait few more days
heard so much about how good they are, was about to add it to my colection but now??
meh… enough problem don’t want to add another headache during holiday season

Well my TN31 is fixed now. I gave the T10 which came with it to my wife but she has just told me its started randomly cutting out. :cry:
Got an email from ThruNite, The TN31 is now $130 limited to 100 pieces
I got refunded, at last…
Pretty sure though I’ll have to eat shipping fees myself. Pretty penny at around 42USD…
What the heck, at least I tried.
I count this Thrunite incident as my own mistake, never again!!
