Tools for flashing Fireflies?

Hi,

I’m a dealer for Fireflies and even though I’m correctly setting the temp sensor on the E07, the step down is always way too soon. We talking 8 seconds at max ramp, not turbo. The only way to stop it is setting the temp at 11°C below room temp.

I’d like to reflash Anduril as I’m thinking it’s a bad batch. If that’s the same I’m ditching the AUX lights and switching to NarsilM. I absolutely hate not being able to set a timed step down or completely disable the damn thing.

Can someone share some info on what I need for flashing this driver and a step by step guide. There’s threads on it but unsure if it applies to these Fireflies drivers and what exactly to purchase

I might sell these at cost and never buy fireflies again. The E07 works perfectly if you set the temp wrong

Anyone in New Zealand want the following in NZD

E01 $35
E07 $75
PL47 $65

this is the one that Fireflies drivers, the BLF lantern, and other Lexel created drivers is based on I believe: [Oshpark] HQ ProgKey - Universal Driver Programming Key

you might be able to re-purpose an emisar one but you would need to change the pinouts: https://intl-outdoor.com/reflashing-kits.html

I appreciate the response, thank you

I’ve only had issues with the Gen 2 ROT66 and E07, the PL47 seems to be okay.

Oh I forgot to mention. I think you have to remove the power wire from the aux LED board on the E07 to flash it. Not to mention no firmware was ever made for the E07 specifically I think FF just re-used an early PL47 gen 1 firmware. Honestly, it’s probably not worth it from a business perspective unless you count it as hobby time.

Thank you

Yeah, I’m just selling the E07 at cost price now and setting the temp 11°C lower which seems to do the trick. I’ve just had a lot of QC issues with their models. I’m clearing stock and switching to Emisar

I’d like to get into writing my own firmware though for the hunting flashlights I build, that would be ideal.
