You can remove it yourself (…or so I’ve heard. I haven’t tried it.) Go to the Edit tab at the top of the thread. When it opens up to editing, look down to just below the text window. There’s a drop-down box where you can change between Simple and Advanced Post Editor. Below that is another drop-down box. There, you can change the location where the thread is posted. At the top of that drop-down list is an entry of - None - that should do the trick, I think.
I just tried it with my most useless thread. (Not my birthday thread.)

Adding to the confusion: you can delete your own post.
So I assume you can delete your own thread, if the first post is the last (only, #1) post.

I just tried it with a thread of mine with no replies.
There is no option to delete it.
Only SB has the rights to do so.
In that case: let’s spam the night together.

You can delete a post, but not a thread.
Just deleted a rotten post from my fence……luckily, no threads in sight.
