i’m using xtar 3100’s. is running the light until the light goes out bad for the batteries?
Which light ?
If your torch has low-voltage cutoff set high enough (~3.0v) then doing so repeatedly will only shorten the cell’s lifespan and capacity a moderate amount.
If you are counting on the cell’s low-voltage protection circuit to indicate the need for recharging (~2.5v, IIRC) then it will have a much greater impact on both cell longevity and capacity after cycling the cell often in such a manner.
it’s the trustfire TR-3t6
According to the review here, it doesn’t have low-voltage cutoff.
I wouldn’t run it until the cells trip, since the driver seems to be buck/boost.
