Tribit plus Ozark Trail

The picture says it all.

Ozark Trail lights were $1.88 each so under $6 for all three. Include batteries. Absolutely worth the money and more. Really cool lights. Would recommend to anyone.

The Tribit is fabulous. Very good weight to it. Good deep bass. Louder than I ever expected. Took 15 seconds to get it paired with my phone. Even if the company goes out of business tomorrow, I really dont care because I only paid $25.

I picked up a couple of the Tribit BT speakers. Running them in stereo they actually don’t sound bad. Having a pair really helps them to sound better. A good buy for certain.
But they have no real bass. They start dropping at around 12 dB per octave at right around 100 hz. They do have a hump in the mid bass that tends to make people think they have ā€œrealā€ bass. But when compared to something that does have low bass, it is obvious that they don’t have any. It is OK, I am using them as I type this. I have been using them quite a bit for background music. Fine for casual listening, and great for the price. But really, no deep bass.

BTW, I have them about 3 inches from a wall. The pair is about two feet apart. Just above ear level. That does help bring out what little low end that they do have.

A couple of nits. Getting them into the stereo mode seems to be fiddly. I have to mess with them every time I turn them on to make that work. I can’t seem to get the mic and speakers to both work at the same time. Maybe it is a problem with this PC? I had hoped to try using them for video conferencing or phone calls. But so far that is a no go.

Anyway, congrats on your scores.

I guess what I should have said was the bass is surprisingly good for a speaker this size.

No, it definitely does not compare to a real sub woofer.

Then again, I was not expecting that.

This is the most comprehensive review that I’ve found on it, he complements the Xsound Go for its clarity but not so much for its bass. He says it has upper bass but not low base. Still a fantastic speaker for many types of audio.

I keep a stash of those hand held lights around. They are great to toss to a muggle when they don’t have a light and need one. I just tell them to keep it when said and done.

They are nothing to write home about when compared to the lights we normally lean towards but will light up a dark room. IDK if they have changed them since the last ones I grabbed but they used to take 18650s.

Some reviewer on youtube featured those Ozark flashlights and strongly encouraged people to put 18650s in it.

There was something of a ā€˜craze’ to buy them, I think reddit was the source. You can guess what happened next… multiple reports of cells venting

Love those speakers, I have the previous version and it’s the most hifi bluetooth speaker I’ve heard. Oh and it’s fully waterproof.

My goal was to see what a $1.88 flashlight looks like. I was pleasantly surprised.

I have Bose BT speaker that cost $400. Yes it does sound better but not 16x better.

Well I ain’t handing any 18650 light without protection to just anybody nor would I suggest it.

Those of us on here know how to handle such lights and that type of cells.

Pretty much what I was trying to say. But what can be expected from a couple of ~2.5" speakers in a relatively tiny enclosure… even with the passive radiator and DSP.

It all boils down to price. I paid $25 and I will probably buy another for that price. If it was fifty, I may buy just one. If it was a hundred, I may pass altogether.

Its the same with Hyundai automobiles. For $20K people love it. If the same car was $50K they probably would not sell any.

If you can get a second one for the same price, it is worth doing. Running two as a stereo pair helps the little guys quite a bit. Not to mention, having two can give you some ā€œsoundstageā€ .Depending on placement, of course.

Again, I am glad I got them… even knowing I could have gotten better sound if I spent more $$.

Two in stereo, that sounds cool.

Yeah, and the most important aspect for me is that it doesn’t break up or distort on the mid to high ranges. Super clean and detailed audio.
