Tritium Vials for Sale

Last spring I mounted some perpendicular into the reflector of a Convoy S4, and 3 into the fins of a Convoy M1. I still have the S4 but rarely use it, so perhaps that’s why they still seem to work OK. I lost the M1 after only a couple of months and not a lot of use at hot temps, so they also were still working OK at that point. I mainly use them under the screens of our VHF radios so you can find your radio in your pack, and so far that seems to be OK, but thanks to both posters for the head’s up on the potential heat issues!

Hi bro

Hi, Eclipsesharp, I’m glad I stumbled across your post. I was just about to purchase some trites from the US and was wondering about Singapore customs, shipping time, costs, packaging, insurance etc. But I see you’re in Singapore - so suddenly it’s so much easier! I’m interested in spheres for jewellery but that disc looks interesting too. And if it’s easy and I can get them from you direct, I can prototype and try things quicker. Could I come and collect or would you prefer to keep it mail order?

Hey, drop me an email at eclipsesharp@gmail.com. It’s much easier to communicate there.

If its tritium then it’s not a chemical reaction but an atomic decay not affected by temperature. You might speed it up by exposing it to cosmic rays or slow it down with a boron flashlight host. The tritium decay is supplying the energy but whatever it is causing to glow different colors might be susceptible to heat.

Crazy question, could you fill say fish aeration tubing (or Glass Capillary Tubes) with http://glow-on.com/ paint, let it dry, remove the tubing, then put them in like that on a cover over a light…with the intense light coming from the Cree, it would charge the stick of paint

I can attest this stuff is as hard as epoxy when it dries and will glow as bright as tritium for an hour or two

Eclipsharp, do you still have the tritiums for sale?

Yes, they are still for sale. You may drop me an email at eclipsesharp@gmail.com if you need any help. Thanks!

Sweet! I need to check some dimensions and figure out just what I need, then I’ll be in touch. Great service you’re providing here, thank you!

Bump.

Now that I have some vials ordered, I am looking for FOBs which can take the standard 3 X 22.5 mm vials. The one I am currently looking at is from IS, http://illuminationsupply.com/keychain-fobs-clips-c-41_60/tec-accessories-isotope-fob-kit-p-930.html. Are there any other similar offerings?

Hi, I currently do not have fobs that take the 3x22.5mm vials. However, I do have beads that contain 1.5x6mm vials and zipper pull with rectangular vials. I’m working on a 2x12mm Fob as we speak. Cpfmarketplace has a couple of sellers who make fantastic looking fobs using the 3x22.5mm too.

There is a variety on shapeways. Search.

Tritium Lantern 2A (silver/brass/plastic) 3 x 22.5 mm vial.

Look for an artist called tofty on Facebook and over at shapeways.

Tofty is here as well, send him a pm…pretty sure he can do whatever you have in mind.

Do you have pics of the zipper pulls with rectangular vials?
