Saw these Trustfire mini 01 clones and wondered if anyone has any experience with them?
I’m thinking they could be made of aluminium, which would be nice.

Has anyone gotten these Aluminum Mini-01? The price is quite low! and I’m wondering if the driver & LED are the same quality as original… At any rate, I will likely be ordering some soon and will follow up here. Thanks.

Ordered one yesterday (the silver ). I wss going to get 2, but the limit was only one… I could get 1 silver & 1 grey & 1 black but not 2 of any(?) In the end I decided; best to get just one to check build, driver, LED, quality. I like the SS mini-01, but it is a heavy little thing. This spec is just over half the weight.

Ha, Chinese lumen just bounce off me anymore; I didn’t even take note of that ‘spec’.
I’m hoping it has the same boost driver as the mini-01. (per spec;High, low, strobe) It’s not bad; direct drive above Vf, .15 sense resistor, about Iout = .1/R …adjust R according if you don’t want to drain a CR123A so fast…. draws about 650mA on a fresh CR123 and goes up from there as the battery drains. (…that’s what I do per my ‘LowLumen’ namesake) I will report back on how this clone compares to the original.
I purchased a “silver” and a blue one (tired of black lights :laughing:. Hoping/planning to turn them into triples at 2.8 amps!

Would be a better alternative to mini-01 with XP-G2 and that SMO reflector.
My mini-01 mod runs on CR123A for 4-5 hours on high, 40-50 hours on low. 100 lumen high, about 10 lumen on low. .37 sense draws about 270mA on high…. .27 works well on CR123A too. …. Low Lumen, long run time.
From the pics. looks like these clones have smooth reflector too.

I also ordered one (red, for my keychain) and we will see how it works out! I’m going to try my hand at OshPark in the coming weeks to see if I can make a 7135-based driver for this light. God help us all.
Scratch that, just going to use the 15DD V3.0 for both my SS and my new Al lights coming in, no sense in making it more difficult than it has to be.
I have gotten three of them off of evil bay for about $5 each. I like them. Very light weight even with the battery in. Perfect for a keychain light, the one thing they all had in common though was that the emitters were not centered. Not exactly a deal breaker but it would have been nice if they had spared the extra two seconds for a proper centering.
They did put down some kind of thermal paste but it was dried to a crisp and worse than nothing. So if you feel like taking the time to pull it apart to center them you might as well put some fresh thermal stuff down too.

Probably at least $5 and they don’t seem to give a break if you buy more than one. You can try but I’m tired of trying to get deals from their site. I have managed to pick up one light that was a deal from them so they do deliver but they are a PITA to deal with.
I have only one light from them, and with the shipping it was not the lowest price. I am waiting for a shipping cost email. Not giving a break for multiple items is a bad problem with these small items.
The one from shenzhen-wholesale has a different one mode driver and Q5 emitter.
The bezel looks different, deeper as well.
It is clearly a cost cutting model, and may not come out much cheaper with shipping costs. But it is an interesting addition to this thread, anyway.

Ebay UK got different colors at about £4.20 (~ $7 ?)
