OK so I received my Luxmeter today and tried some measurements.
Status on the upgrades to the stock light is:
Made a bigger hole in reflector - about 15 mm.
Changed the original ST-50 to a XML U2 1C (not on copper though - still a aluminium star)
Still to come:
Change the driver to a 4,2 A instead of the 6A in it now
Change the original glass to a coated one when I grind it down to size.
Note that I have no way to verify these measurements - I have not had time to measure my other lights and I simply dont know if it underreads (most likely) or overreads.
The measurements were done at 10 M in total darkness and control measures were done at 20 M.
Start value @ 10 M 697 Cd
Moving back to 20 M (light still on to keep from falling)
Start value 170 Cd falling to 166 Cd after a few minutes-
Corrected back to 1 M (if I did it correctly)
10 M : 697*10*10 = 69700 ~ 69,7 KCd
20 M : 166*20*20 = 66400 ~ 66,4 KCd
So I am a happy camper! :-)

I just modded a little more ;-)
By changing the springs inside the tailcap and on the driver (they were shortened and the brass caps removed) I now am able to run it without the extender with 2 batteries. Perfect size in my opinion. Any shorter than that and I think it would get awkward to hold on to.
I just realised that I have not made that thin shim under the led star so on mine the led is not perfectly positioned yet. But now it is perfect length. My hand just fits between the "ears" on the tailcap and the heat sink and I find that the big ears on the tail cap makes it easy to cigar grip the light even with its size and weight it is no problem.
And it is still fun to use. Shone it on a windmill from ~700 M and it is just visible. But then it is a clean night here with a little frost.
Spotted a fox at 230 meters on open field with it. Just saw a quick glimpse of reflection from the eyes and was able to follow it out to a hedgerow right at 380 meters although it never turned its head again so I could see that reflection again. But at around 300 meters I must admit it is hard to see that it is a fox at all.
Oh, that´s a good tip with chanching springs and run without extender, thx. ;)

(mine has little bit over 22000 lux at 2m, 2 people have measured my X7 again, first 3550lux @5m=88750Lux@1m, second ~86KLux @ 1m, so i think, my measures are correct, but i can´t measure at 10m or more)

I just want to remind you that I still have not fitted the new lens. Am a little vary of grinding glass since I never tried it before.

This was done with partially depleted batteries, maybe 15 to 20 minutes on high already.

Hmmm, over 20KLux difference is a little bit much.
Mine has always over 80KLux, also when battery is nearly empty.
But maybe it´s the fault of the luxmeter, or the orig. lens ?!
p.s. i saw other lux readings with much over 100KLux, that´s also fault of luxmeter. ;)

I've just finished grinding the lens from flashlightlens and I fitted it by using a piece of insulated electrical wire for spacer to take up the slack from the thinner lens.
I measured the light again @ 10 meters and got 75 Klux!
Measurements @ 2m confirm this number! I am soo happy now!

My X7 is now at 182000 Lux after dedoming. 
(measured at 2m with DX Luxmeter(CT1330B))
I now have more Lux at 2m, as the original flashlight at 1m. 8)
