I just received the TS11, and I’m really impressed with the performance of this little powerhouse. However, I noticed the RGB Aux lights are REALLY bright when set it on High. It’s much brighter than my other Anduril lights. What would be really nice is if there was the ability to have a 3rd brightness settings for the Aux lights, midway between the present Low & High settings. Is this something that could be added into a future Anduril release?
And out of curiosity, does anyone know why the TS11 RGB Aux lights are so much brighter than other Anduril lights? Note, I have flashed the 2023_12_03 TS11 firmware into this light, which I believe is the latest iteration.
Common request, can’t be done. High is driving the aux off the MCU, low is using the MCU’s internal pull up resistor. Theoretically aux could be PWMed, but on the current gen MCUs it would prevent them sleeping and so cause way too much battery drain when off. Also, then someone would complain about the PWM
If you want lower aux and are good at SMD microsoldering, you can swap the resistor for the aux to reduce the brightness of high (although this may make low unusably low).
Would it be possible to just stick a resistor on the aux neg pad in the mcpcb? This would lower brightness for both high and low, but it would work, correct?
Maybe, if you can get everything to solder together properly and pick the right resistor value. Even seen some people having swapped the existing resistor on the driver but not doing that afaik.
