I was buying an RC truck battery about a year ago and saw AAA Turnigy LSD’s for $1.59 a 4 pack . it only let me buy seven 4 packs . if i could have i would have backed up the truck and just loaded up on them .They seem to be a pretty good cell .There is an old thread on BLF about these batteries by BRTED
Been using the older 2200mAh cells for a few years now …
Don’t recall how many I got - Might have been 12 or so … ?
But a few of them did die after a few months of use , the rest seem to be going ok .
Not sure how many I lost ? Should probably do a stock take .
But over the last 10 years I have had several NIMH die on me .
My experience has been that the Chinese nimh work surprisingly well for a year or so then just fall over dead with crazy high resistance and no capacity …While all my made in japan eneloop / duraloops are all hanging in at 5-7 + years
I’ve had good luck with the odec brand on Amazon, not sure if they still sell them. But ive put a few hundred cycles often times draining way below. 9v abd they still mostly have over 2000mah capacity. They get used for lanterns daily in the bedrooms. I’d definitely buy again and they are fairly cheap. I have eneloop pros, Amazon pros, Duracell 2400 lsd and imedion cells. The only cell to ever fail was the imedion. Even vented.
