Two 16340 Batteries in MTE M3-2I?

Hi guys sorry for the noob question! I have the MTE M3-2I torch, it's great but I would like the more power you get from the 2 CR123A's. Can you use rechargables in this torch? The batteries here say "Can be safely used in flashlights"

Put a link form where you bought the light form.

If the spec say maximum voltage is 8.4v then yes, if it say maximum voltage is either 6v or 4.2v then no.

If you buy the batteries from Amazon then the voltage would be 8.4v fully charged.

It doesn't say though, I think your right as it can take two non rechargable CR123A's so its probably 6v. Oh well, I might modify it too take 4 AA's would that work?

James that light has a maximum voltage off 6v. If you can modify it to take 4 AA in series then the voltage would be 6 volts.

Why do you want AA or 16340 batteries when 18650 battereis are better for long run times?

That light is not worth the money. You can get a lot better for £60

Thanks for the replys guys. Well i use it for shooting and any extra power is very useful. I have found this torch very good especially on 2 CR123A's. I got mine for £40 :D
