Agreed. And that's two hours on high with 1200 lumens OTF running on a single 18650, if the description were correct. Riiiight. That said, the exaggerated, well, make that made up numbers don't really bother me. I was going to buy another C8 and I thought I'd give the version with a SMO reflector a try and since the Ultrafire is just $7 more, I might get this one instead. Off to do some research... :)
Not exactly sure how to duplicate the sound that the tail-less creature known as the guninea pig makes, but I may have to learn to mimic that anoying (WEEE WEEE) guinea pig call.
Gona have to try it. The comparison pics look like it may be worth a try, along with the stated 3000 ma output.
Actually, even if it only puts out 700 lumens, this looks like one of the better XM-L throwers I've seen with that big lense and polished reflector. I might have to give it a go! Sucks that you have to cycle past the blinky blinky modes, as usual.
OK, this is interesting. DX has what looks to be the exact same light for a couple bucks less (no stainless bezel) but they list it at only 1000 lumens here
Do you think they have the same reflector depth? The KH with the stainless bottle opener looked as if it had a deeper reflector? Or do you think it's the assult crown making it appear as so?
The-KH & NH look to be the same minus the color of the bezel. The- TH looks like it might be the same head without the assult crown or( bottle opener) if your in a pinch.
It throws much better than the P60 hosts, but the C8 throws even better. I also have an UF-980 and it throws as good, maybe better than the C8. All of them have an SMO reflector. Overall this is a very good light with very good throw.
