ok i’m on the GT list but then started thinking about the L6. since the GT isn’t out yet but is meant to compete/beat the monsters from thrunite/ felix etc, i am wondering how the L6 really stacks up against those other single emitter lights. if they are a lot better than the L6 i’ll hold off….i’m getting the urge for a big light but kinda want one or the other and soon lol
Different emitters, The GT is a super thrower, the L6 will throw a lot less but put out a lot more lumens. Go ahead and get the L6, the GT may be another 6 to 10 months before it’s ready to sell.
ok ya i forgot that it was sounding like at least 6 months…. i almost got the L6 but it was out of stock then the batteries were outa stock at mtn and i wanted to order from once place all at once
Having the L6, S70, S70S and TN42 it is clear the XHP70 lights are completely different
The XHP70 lights emit a lot of lumens but not as far, a nice big area lit.
The thrower does just that, lighting up things way beyond where the S70/L6/S70S reach
Also the S70/L6/S70S are small compared to the GT, very easy to bring along
