Some of you will remember Bucket had a giveaway… Contest: Guess the flashlight! Winners announced!

I was lucky enough that he picked my idea of a uhmw spacer, I wanted it for my l2n/m3 combo.

I’m slowly working on the m3 mod but I decided to finish the spacer.

This is what I received

I found a copper slug and mated it with a brass slug from intl-outdoor. Silver based solder.


The opening Bucket made fit the brass slug perfectly.

The copper battery connection, there is a hole in the middle where there was a small rod.

Added a gold plated spring.

All finished. Just needs the driver and maybe some braided copper.

Thanks Bucket. I know it might seem small and kind of silly to some but I had this idea for a while and to have it made by someone with skill was a great feeling. Not to mention first time I won anything.

Thanks. My m3 sees a lot of heavy use. I wanted something to keep the spring from ever bending over and shorting. This fits in the tube, with some force, and still allows the spring to compress to fit my protected batteries.

I think I’m going to drill a small hole in the brass slug to run copper braid up to the top piece of copper. I’m happy with the way it turned out for now and I’ve got a couple of c8s to finish before the m3.
