UltraFire KH-T60 HA-II upgrade

Hello guy’s ,

after reading many hours of users pro’s and con’s and user horror fail story’s I’m still willing to mod my most favorite light

i want to try to mod my UltraFire KH-T60 HA-II too 2000-3000 real lumen Ultrafire

I dont know if it’s even possible thats why i’m asking some professional advice from you guys.

what i have planned is a XHP50 in this light with this .“driver”: http://www.mtnelectronics.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=67&product_id=53

but is it possible for me to mod it to run a single 18650 I know I need 6 volts or does anybody know a good 16-17mm boost driver that bumps the volts ?

So many questions so little knowledge !!

Kind regards from the netherlands

there is no boost driver to use a single 18650 to power a MTG2 or XHP LED….at least that i know of…
Take that light apart how does it look inside? is the old driver and MCPCB easy to remove…is it glued etc

Some pictures of the driver and led pcb

The driver is 16mm can make it bigger to 17-18 mm

And the led pcb 20mm

Kind regards Rick

You could use two 18350 cells if they fit in the tube. But you would loose lot of runtime. Also the XHP50 in a smooth reflector has a donut hole in the spot.

I would swap in a good xm-l2 or xp-l on a dtp mcpcb and a 17mm fet (+7135) driver.
