Hello everyone! Today I am posting my review of the LG20X, a deep reflector green light in an 18650 form factor. This light was sent to me for free by UltraFire for review.
My light arrived in a banged up box and was accidentally sent to an incorrect address. I did manage to get it from the post office before it was sent back.
Despite the box being banged up the light itself and its contents were in perfect shape.
The anodizing on this light is pretty damn good, nice and smooth while not feeling cheap
The closest light I have to compare the size is my Convoy C8, because the light has such a deep reflector it is considerably taller. The light uses a Osram KW CSLNM1.F1
Unfortunately the light body is lacking anodizing on the tail end so there is no way to physically lock out the light. The threads are clean on the head but the tail end has strange machining marks inside the threading, despite that the threads feel smooth and nice. It features a spring at the head and tail of the light, the head spring is small and stiff for it’s size. The tail cap spring is larger and just as stiff at the head spring.
The light charges via USB-C via a small grey flap located at the base of the head of the light, sadly the light charges slowly at 1 amp roughly. Once it is done charging the LED indicator will change from red to green. The battery is an UltraFire branded protected 3000mAh 18650 cell that is “5G tech. protected”. I am assuming that this is just marketing as I could not find anything online when I searched for this battery protection.
Now for the beans, this light is a single mode only design with a forward clicky switch.
This photo is the light at 350m, the beam is incredibly tight and throws insanely well thanks to the deep reflector. Unfortunately it seems like the light is powered by a FET driver that slowly ramps down as the battery goes down.
The line of trees here is about 157m to the hot spot
For reference here is the same line of trees but with a T6 that has a W5050SQ5 in 3000k on high
And a Convoy S21E with the smooth reflector and a HT35 in 4000k
Overall it’s a damn good green thrower, the hot spot is nice and useable at distance.
Retail for this light is currently on sale for 65 at the time of writing this.

- great throw thanks to the Osram emitter and deep reflector
- nice stiff springs
- the forward clicky feels good
Cons
- Price seems a bit high
- maybe a bit bulky for some
