Ultrafire XM-L 3 mode P60 drop in from Manafont

CRI means loss of light output-more than I had expected. The high CRI zebralights are 130 lumens, as opposed to the standards 200 and neutrals 175ish.

I'll probably still end up getting one though.....

I mean , with this much output to begin with , a little output loss would be compensated with better color perception , and as far as that goes , while I prefer a tint of approximately 5C , I would willingly accept a slightly cooler high CRI emitter ...

Well, high CRI doesn't really go hand in hand with cool tints-the Rebel is probably the cooler High CRI led I've seen, aside from the Nichia 119, the bestest High CRI led out there, but runs over $40 a pop and requires an application from nichia, and a large order.

I guess I'd be happy with an XML emitter that was uniformly even in tint at this point . Maybe the warm ones will be .

Should i buy this Led and a flashlight body (total 28$)

or buy this light? http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafire-ssc-p7-2-mode-900-lumen-led-flashlight-with-strap-18650-50320 or http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafire-wf-501b-ssc-p7-csxo-3-mode-900-lumen-memory-led-flashlight-with-strap-1-18650-1-17670-36356

greetings!

Manafont has a bunch of the UF xml dropin with different hosts for $20. Just pick one you like the looks of.

If you have your heart set on ordering from DX I got this light a couple weeks ago and it has the new DX XML direct drive drop in that is as bright as the Manafont one for $19 bucks. 800 plus lumens.

a light that is sold with less lumen then it actually gives? Would be the first one i know :p, do you have confirmation it gives 800lm?

greetings

I can confirm that it pulls more than 4 amps (Fluke 179) from a fresh unprotected Trustfire flame so if you go to this chart that puts it at well over 800.

Just got this Dropin and puttet it in my L2T.. But Im very disappointed... It pulls just out 2.1A on high... something wrong? :/

Less heat. 2.1A is more than enough for that host.

yeah ofc.. but then I can buy cheaper dropins ;) Bought this one because of the driver

What would you guys recommend for me for 3-mode XM-L dropin, this?

Is there by any chance any low PWM options available (need intl shipping)?

SMO & OP reflector are both fine since I will probably use this with L2T + diffuser to get good all-rounder and general use light.

...or just get cheap C8 from eBay and diffuse that? For about the same price the whole light?

Quote & bump.

What would be the best choice at the moment?

2,8A regulated fits the bill fine also, no PWM limitations (since this is going to my pal). :)

This drop in has really bad PWN and it's direct drive so the output on high can get dangerously high with good batteries, otherwise it's a great piece. If the KDC8 is still on sale for $16.99 I would get that.

Thanks for advice but can´t do that since there is already a P60 inbound for him...

edit:

ahh, never mind. I´ll just grab this & update the driver if desired and that´s it.

I just got this dropin yesterday and mine only measures 2.0A draw on a TF flames battery. Still beats my DX R2 dropin, so it will do fine for my use and have better runtimes at the lower draw. I see the current medium mode on this dropin as the most used light level.

Would be a good candidate for a Tido's custom mode mod with a new driver. Program for 4 modes so you only have 100% for showing off.

Under driven i would say to foy's but mine are still very bright as and they would get dam hot if the current draw was doubled IMO, The Trustfire Flames take the most mAh.

Checked with two DMM's a fluke and a cheap DSE DMM
