I use a Nitecore HC30 as my regular headlamp.
It’s rated to 1000 lumens.
This puppy is unbranded and is rated to 5000 lumens.
Anybody had any experience with this headlamp?

In the specifications section it says max 1000 lumens.
Edit: it’s in the Features section of the listing.
It says 1000 in the specification but 5000 if you look at the page title in your browser header….
I doubt that it even has a real CREE XML in it looking at then pics its hard to say for sure.
Didn’t you buy the HC30?
Sure. I saw the page title. I was just pointing out the 1000 lumen rating because it’s at least possible for that emitter and battery.
Yeah I have the HC30 (several) and they are good.
But more brightness would always be handy….
It seems there are many variations of this headlamp
T6 being advertised as high as 9000 lumen
L2 as high as 10,000 lumen
Given Cree rate L2 at just over 1000 lumen, hard to understand how 3 x L2 can be 10,000….
It cant its all fake lumen count. Even if you drive the XML2 to the edge you can probably push out max of about 2000 lumen but that would be crazy power and heat and it probably wouldn’t last very long… Even a heavily driven XML2 is about 1300-1400 lumens.
Well I ordered one, since the multi 18650 headlight I ordered from Ali never came.
when it is in I can say what it ha but it probably will take longer then the current deal period (though when they are fake leds this light wll also be on new sale pretty soon and the official from price is then just inflated to make it look like a good deal.)
A lot of plastic and poor thermal management.
If you could grab one for $10-15 it would be okay.
I have one, not sure if it’s the exact same. Haven’t done a review, but could answer some questions and maybe post a couple of pics if someone’s interested
I have had one that I since gave away, they are generally branded as BORUIT.
The main led is a Lattice Bright & not a Cree XML, the 2 outer leds are also not Cree but another fake Lattice Bright led.
Heat management is no problem as the Lattice Bright emitters only probably put out about 400 lumen max for the main one & maybe 100 lumen max for each side one, & those figures are being generous if anything.
The light is very “plasticy”, the battery holder is cheap & nasty, neither are very water proof or robust.
I bought mine for about £10 or about $14 which is probably about the right money given what you get.
For occasional light use they are ok if a little bulky on the head.
