#10 is great for the lanyard. i love it!! the lanyard.
#10 is great for the lanyard. i love it!! the lanyard.
Add this 1xAA light too which comes for $8.59.
I agree about #10 “Police 3Watt”.
It’s pure crap…
But, probably depends on which manufacturer makes them.
The body fits 16340 though. In other words: It’s drilled out to the max…
Some suggestions, pictures are links:
AKOray 1xAA / 14500

‘Fake i3s’ 1x AAA
$4.71 at Wallbuys
Yes, it’s brown… and only available in brown…
O, I mean “tan”, as they put it…
“Faecal” anyway…
Cute though!

1x AAA SingFire SF-348 Super Mini Torch $7.26 at DealsMachine
Some tips for modders:
Cheap fake C3 $2.74 at ebay. 1 or 2x AA
With one of these you can extend 2 sk68s for 2x AA.
It’s even rather nice quality (not the intestines though…)

$3.42 at ebay 1x AA
A horrible light as is, but a very nice body! Sturdy and well built 4 parts body (tailcap, tube, head, bezel).
Has a glass lens too.
Great as a host, fits 20mm TIRs incl their holder perfectly.
Takes 16340 / CR123A and has TIR optics.

Just another one of those cute cheapo (worthless) AAA flashlights
$3.10 at Kaidomain.
This is almost the same as #1, but this is a zoomie… (#1 is not)
No #2(non CREE emitter) are fixed and #3(CREE emitter) are zoomies !
My preference goes to #2 for a further throw without the convex lens since most of us already own SK68, if you want the versatility of a zoomie without the bulk of the SK68 then #3 is a great alternative.
My new favorite thread!
I found #16 thanks to djozz at testing a red XP-E, and comparing it to a red XR-C, 22/4/'14: XP-E2 results added in post #32
It has a much nicer flood and zoom than the SK68s, and on his suggestion there I found I can swap amber LEDs in easily.
(and I’m hoping the price drops; cheapest so far seems to be dealsmachine.com - Informationen zum Thema dealsmachine.
Some places (DX I think) show an old and new version of that light for sale side by side, slightly different prices.
Maybe somewhere in this list: http://m.dx.com/c/flashlights-lasers-999/led-flashlights-901/aa-flashlights-931?sort=price&sortType=asc
or this one: http://m.dx.com/c/flashlights-lasers-999/led-flashlights-901/14500-flashlights-933
Next purchase UltraFire HM3, not many around !
Does anyone have a link for #4 with memory or just 1 mode ( no next mode memory ). Having great difficulty finding one.
I own a couple, so much better than my dead Fenix E01 and it’s horrible beam.
Ill. Sup.
search eBay for “zoomable cree flashlight” from $3.5. Look for one mode, or you can get 3 mode one and mod it with pencil to have no memory.
SIPIK SK68 usually comes in 1 mode.
what is number 9? I am always looking for lantern zoomies(?). so far I have only found two different models, this is a new one to me.
do you think it would be easier to update the op with links instead of answering each question?
I also haven’t seen this one… And don’t have a ‘lantern’ light… Yet.
Edit: link was just for more pics/info, probably a better price out there.
Nice…a 3*XP-G2 star and TIR dropin host…interesting
Only problem…not alot of oomph in a AA boost circtuit to drive those XP-G2’s…even a 14500 would have a hard time pushing them
awesome thread! needs more AAA/10440’s though….wish I knew some under 10 bucks.
I’m actually searching for a good AAA right now. I carry a leatherman with me daily (Charge TTi) and need a small light to clip into the elastic loop on the side of the velcro holster that came with the leatherman. AA lights don’t fit very well…
Number 14 looks like a HDS expensive titanium flashlight. It would be great if they made it AAA and you could stick a great driver and a NW emitter in it.
Not many sub $10…
If you are looking for a AAA right on $10 then go (XP-G)

For 3 modes just a touch more (XP-E)
