This is what stores are for. No doubt fasttech and banggood will sell it later.
I’m more interested in a GB so we can have custom options and a good price on them. Like the zeusray zoomie for example.
Fair points, but currently no shops are selling them, and no one has organized a group buy. If one of those two things happens, this thread turns into a link to the group buy or shop that’s selling them, like I said in the first post (at least about the group buy scenario).
Also, I have everything I need to finish out lights with LED’s and drivers built to order. I’ve done a few dozen lights now, and can provide pictures of mods I’ve done to give everyone an idea what to expect if they asked me to build it.
I plan to modify and sell whatever I order for myself anyway.
I’d ask for brass pills and AR coating on the lens if I’m able to spec them that way. Any other things on the BLF wishlist if this goes through here, as a group buy, or ends up for sale from your favorite Chinese supplier?
I’d try to get it as a host from the buzz in the other thread, but nothing is set in stone, this is the wishlist phase.
No, the giant nubs are part of the head. I’d be interested in them being half the size they are, if not gone. It’d be worth asking about if I order them.
My plan would be a well driven de-domed xp-g2 on copper for one of them. Not sure what I would do with the other but I want a spare for other fun experiments.
give it some time, shops will start picking it up as the chinese new year is coming to an end. If you message one of the reps here, they maybe able to push the company to get some for us to purchase or customize.
KKW, have you already been talking to Ali? I’ve emailed her and she said a host group buy is possible. I don’t know if it would be better to hammer out the details and run it through somebody like gearbest or banggood or what. Last email I received said
“As you written in last email,we usually sell the completed torch just only without LED pill.yes, the torch housing(only without LED pill) is also equiped with battery plastic tube in the kit”
She also asked about a logo and I don’t see the point in a host. Just more crap to wait on and go wrong. I responded back asking for everything including a brass pill minus the led/star and driver. This would be for either the 1405, the 1504, or both from our conversation so far.
That sounds excellent. I am set on the 1504, and am fine with the complete torch. I have no problem removing LED’s or drivers, its typically not too much of a hassle. However if we can get it without the LED/star and driver, thats all the better unless it will take additional time for some reason.
I’ve sent a few emails with a manufacturer about host with a brass pill, AR coated lens, and removing the nubs and doing the same large milled knurl pattern on base of the head. It sounds feasible, but I do have concerns about the language barrier. Time and money are both precious to me, so I wasn’t planning on too much more time into this unless there’s a reasonable interest level. My wife’s take on it is that I should just design my own light and have it manufactured if I’m going to do anything in a bulk amount.
Here’s the email string.
Hi Henry Kloepper,
Pls find the details modification as follows,
The casing of flashlight don’t have the 4 large bumps,
The head need to be covered the machined knurling,
The circuit board is made of brass,
RE: I would like to know more about your 67mmledhunting flashlight, led hunting flashlight with gun mount,850nm irledhunting flashlight
Sam,
Thank you for your response. I’m interested in having the 4 large bumps removed (see picture with red circle around one of the bumps I’m referring to). There is also a 9mm long section just in front of the bumps that has a 41.5mm diameter, I would like this brought to the same diameter as the low areas between the bumps (44mm). In addition I would like the same large machined knurling that is used on the body of the light on this section.
To summarize, the last 34.5mm of the bottom of the head would have an outside diameter of 44mm (no bumps at all) with the same machined knurling pattern as the battery tube. If you would like me to put together a rough CAD model to make it more clear, please let me know.
I’d also prefer that the pill (part that MCPCB and driver mount to) be made from brass instead of aluminum.
Please let me know if there is anything else you need me to provide.
Thanks,
Henry Kloepper

Hi Henry Kloepper,
Thank you very much for your inquriy,
We are the manufacturer of led flashlight, with CE & RoHs certification,
The flashlight without the led and driver can be supplied to you, equiped with the anti-reflective coating lens.
If the grip ring need to be modified, the flashlight need to be redesigned,it need the details graphic,
I’d like to know if I can order 50 of these without the LED or driver, with an anti-reflective coating on the lenses, and a brass pill instead of the normal aluminum one.
I’d also be interested in a slight modification to the grip ring at the base of the head if that is possible. I know that these changes if possible will effect the price, please let me know if they are possible and the estimated price including shipping to US zip code 68506.
Personally, I wouldnt be pushing to hard to change the overall design of the host. It will likely bring a delay, and probably add to the cost of the light. Personally I like the looks of it as is. But I am just one of many waiting to get their hands on this light.
I would focus more time on getting AR coating, better pill, ability to get it as a host with no driver or emitter, or get it with an alternate driver and emitter... stuff like that
Agreed. I am just itching to get my hands on this thing as it is. If a different ‘remodeled’ style comes along later, I’ll buy that one as well
