Upcoming Sofirn HS42 - triple channel 18650 headlamp

Is there a runtime graph somewhere to be found for this light? I tried, but couldn’t find any.

Wow, so it can be removed! After that I tried harder to unscrew the head but no luck… Maybe it is thighten very hard or I’ve some first batch with unibody.

I found these runtime graphs for the HS42:

I can also confirm that the HS42, that I recieved last week, is able to be unscrewed at the head.

I was quite easily able to do it by hand, even though there was a tiny bit of blue threadlocker/glue in the head, which (obviously) wasn’t all that strong.

Hi! I also wrote to the official mail assistance… I bought today HS42 plus a shorter tube (for SP40). If It Is possible i really enjoy to have a shorter tube for the HS42, instead the generic One.

I assume all the consequences of losing warranty.

I wrote my order Number in the mail.

PS does the Torch supporto powerbank function?

What short tube could be compatibile with?

I hope you enjoy your stay, emmepi!

Thanks Raccoon!

Hello @Sofirn, any news on the 18350 short tube for HD42? Cheers!

Hello. Since the headbase needs to be remade to match the 18350 short tube, we don’t have this plan yet.

1 Thank

Perhaps making a short tube that would match the head thread could be an option? Cheers!

Maybe it’s possible if many friends are interested in 18350 short tube. We will feedback this option to our boss. :star_struck:

Maybe mentioning that Wurkkos has a short 18350 tube as a part of the HD15R package, and that the Sofirn HS42 is much better, and that people love getting an extra option when they buy stuff, and that including a little tube is not such a big deal, and that the main complain of headlamp users is their (I mean headlamps’) heft, and that it would be really cool to have it, and that the BLF members would love Sofirn even more for that and would influence other customers, and… :grinning:

2 Thanks

Apparently, there is no 18350 tube that would fit yet because of two different threads on each end, which is different from the regular short tubes available (I suppose the thread the enters the head was not designed to be removable), but Sofirn is thinking about it

Just bought one. The 5000K CSP2323 had such a horrible greenish-turquoise tint, that I hardly could use it. Looked even cooler than SST-40 6000K.
SST-40 was totally usable, just cool white.
Is that a regular case or I just got bad luck?

Hi BLFers.

Recently, we are considering making an improvement to the Sofirn HS42 headlamp - adding a clip. We believe that this small change can make it more convenient for users to use the headlamp, especially for outdoor activities and work.

Before we move forward with this modification, we wanted to gather your insights and opinions. Besides a clip, are there any other improvements or features you’d like to see in the HS42 headlamp?

Please share your ideas and suggestions; we’re looking forward to discussing how we can make the Sofirn HS42 headlamp even better together.

Ability to use 18350 battery.

1 Thank

It is a headlamp, so reduce overal weight by removing uselles fat and aggressive knurling from battery tube.

Please add emitter selector like in Olight Oclip Pro.

I would also like that, but then I would just buy the HS21. In my opinion, there wouldn’t be too much difference between them if this feature was added.
