Upgrade from a P7

I have an MTE SSC P7-c light that I’ve had for a while. The rubber tail clickie has worn out. Instead of fixing it, I’ve decided to use the opportunity to pick up a better light. What’s a new light, preferrably from DX that will be an improvement on the P7 under $40?

Thanks.

I've had p-7's so good I wouldn't suggest trying to replace them at all with anything else .

I sold one that had the sweetest tint ever . Some are actually pretty stinkin bright too

I think bashing old emitters just cuz there's something more efficient out there is sometimes doneway too much ..I've seen good p-7s and I'veseen some really bad ones too.

There are going to be a lot of good choices out there as far as lights go ..DX would be very far down on my list of places to buy a light .

Isnt a MTE SSC P7-C similar in size to a P60 style light? The XM-L SolarForce L2*s are considered good value by most people…

Wouldn´t a Xintd C8 be a decent upgrade?

My first “real” ledlight was a Spiderfire P7 from DX, still a pretty powerful light…

you could almost get the xintd x3 from intloutdoor for $40, definitely worth a look, the xintd c8 is another good option.

this is pretty interesting for $30, shame its not ab xm-l2 but 3.8a high certainly caught my attention.

I have one of those MTE P7 lights, its nothing more than a C8. If you like the size of the MTE then try a Variant of the C8’s like this one with a XML U2 emitter at 2.8 amps. http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10002364/1212403-convoy-c8-cree-xm-l-u2-1b-2-group-3-5-mode-led
If you would like something just a bit smaller then have a look at Convoy S2. http://www.fasttech.com/products/1601/10002364/1195010-convoy-s2-cree-xm-l-u2-1b-2-group-35-mode-edc-led-
