I’m not saying this is a clone/copy, but design wise, it gives me a lot of Manker MC13 II (SE) vibes.
It also has a similar extendable battery tube, like the MC13 II SE has, as can be seen in @TimMc his review: Manker MC13 II SE Pocket Thrower Review
The original MC13 II (with SBT90.2) might already had that, I’m just not aware of that.
But as long as it is (noticeably) cheaper with the SFT-40 and a TIR (instead of a reflector and SFT-90 in the MC13 II SE), it would still be an interesting alternative/option!
As far as I see it, the extendable battery tube is sort of like an industry standard to be. And it just makes sense. I hope to review the MC13 II soon, btw.
I FULLY agree with you on this one; seems like such an ‘obvious solution’ in a lot of ways, which makes you wonder why this hasn’t been thought of before. (Other than it financially is more interesting to sell seperate shorter/longer extension tubes obviously.)
I’ve recently (impulsively) bought a Lumintop ThorII (in titanium) with “only” the included 18350 battery tube. (I hope to recieve it in the next couple of days.) I managed to pick it up for around € 70,- (I’m to lazy to convert it into $ at 02:30AM at night, sorry!), but Lumintop asks ~€ 40,- for a matching Ti 18650 battery tube, which I’m absolutely NOT going to pay for it. The black Alu 18650 tube is already ~ € 20,-, knowing that Wurkkos sells a simple black 18650 battery tube (for the FC11(C) for example) for € 2,09 (€ 5,51 incl. shipping).
It would be really cool that you’ll be given the option of both using 18350 and 18650 batteries, just by being able to extend the battery tube. I’m perfectly fine if that will ad $ 5,-/€ 5,- extra to the light, as long as that prevents me from having to spend 20 extra $/€ dollar to get a seperate/extra tube, that sometimes feels really expensively priced, compared to the total amount of the original flashlight.
Sorry for this late night rand; it just seemed to hit some late-night-frustration, which I could’ve prevented by just going to sleep earlier!
To be clear: I’m absolutely fine with manufacturers selling seperate/extra “premium” components/additions, but sometimes the price asked for the options, don’t seem to be in line (in a reasonable way) compared to price of the original offering or what competitors ask for very similar products/options.

Manker went nuts on UrFlamp when they released that model, started calling them out saying they stole their design. UrFlamp’s design is different, it’s not quite as good as Manker’s.
Manker’s lengthens and shortens to a set height, it has a little tread at each end and slides in between.
UrFlamp’s winds the entire way. This risks crushing the positive end if it’s screwed down too far.
Some say the name is probably meant to be earth lamp.
