This is my first message in this forum so i want to congratulate for this great forum.
I have a GPS Unit with internal battery (Garmin Edge 800). On March i have prepared a track about 18 hours, and the autonomy for GPS Unit is 10 hours about. My GPS Units charging with 5v, from computer USB or wall charger.
For this reason I would like to get a USB charger for batteries 18650 (i have 2x Panasonic 18650 3400 mAh), and so I would charge the GPS Unit while cycling with lossing datas.
Please, i am grateful to you if advise to me for a good device for this.
I can't find it yet, but I think I read in some of the FastTech discussions or Reviews where the 2x ENB box won't take Protected 18650s. I also have the triple-cell ENB charger from FastTech (The model with the 5mm LED instead of the Cree). I've only had it since last week though and can't comment on using it yet. I used it to charge my mini Android tablet and it seemed to work well for that. Yes, it will work from two cells, but I would understand wanting to minimize size for biking...
I have the ENB 3 cell but with the added Q5 flashlight. Working great! I've used it to charge the cells and that has worked well. It will work on 1 or 2 cells and will take protected batteries. I too also remember the 2 cell versions only working with unprotected cells.
