If you put a clamp meter on the light — you’ll see the low drain battery will not produce the high amperage at all ( compared to like a Vtc5A etc ) The only thing they do is ramp down —- I’ve done this test numerous times with both a meter and my light tube — I use, for instance a Pany B cell in one of my FW3 lights — I feel it gives me a better runtime at the top of the ramp before the temp sensor makes it dance down to 200 lumens—- In another S2+ light with a Guppy 2 driver I use a Pany BD cell for the same purpose — It regulates the Turbo some to where you can use the light longer
Also I have a ” ICharger X12 — It does a regenerative discharge of 30amps up to 1000 watts —— Even these so called High Drain cells won’t hold 30 amps for long —- That’s with 8 gauge wires directly to the cell
