Hi!
I got a pond filter with UV-C today and thankfully I checked it before setting it up.
The bulb doesn’t work. It’s a Philips PL-S 12W UV-C bulb. The wires inside look ok. I get 20V AC on the housing.
Any ideas what might be wrong?
According to datasheet lamp need 89V.
Man, do I feel dumb. I checked everything. I even took the multimeter out to check for continuity to see if the bulb was bad. No continuity.
Checked for power and it had power.
I had an idea to ask here. You were very fast, thanks.
I decided to put it together and check it last time before I figure how to send it back.
There was no safety lockout on the housing. i checked for that but when I put it together it worked.
I even read from many people on Amazon that their bulb didn’t work.
I switched it on vertically and it should work horizontally. Maybe it has a sensor or something.
