Vapcell P2160B experiences?

Bought these a while ago for a trip but they turned out to not be suitable for 2 reasons:

  1. Absolutely huge for a 21700 (okay, I should have read specs, but this is also 2025; no longer in the size compatibility issues era of 2010-2018ish where only certain combinations of lights and cells would work).I consider the cell tube of my convoy H4 to be “generously sized” and this vapcell isn’t even close to fitting.

  2. the bigger problem: on charging or discharging via the USB port, the positive cell contact gets VERY HOT. Within 15-30 seconds of connecting a cable, the metal contact is too hot to touch for longer than a very brief and light fingertip tap. I worry about this being a fire hazard, I bought a pair of them and both exhibit the same behaviour, does anyone else have the same problem?

1 Thank

I’m very sorry for the bad shopping experience. Some 21700 batteries have a larger diameter, and after processing the protective plate, it becomes even larger. Therefore, we need to pay attention to whether they can be used on some devices

The size of the battery is too small, and USB-C cannot handle long-term high current input and output. It is suitable for emergency use and generally requires the use of a charger to charge the battery
If using USB-C for a long time, be careful not to get burned. According to the evaluation of the circuit board engineer, the main reason is that the circuit board and button top become hot and cannot dissipate heat, which has little impact on the battery
